I am Grateful for so many things!

We have a little bit of catching up to do. First of all on Nov. 19th Brennan turned 5 years old. I cannot believe this little character is getting so big. He is such a goof and a great delight in our lives. He is so full of energy and fun. Gotta love this little rascal!

Next we had Thanksgiving. We had a house full this year as the whole family gathered. We have so much to be thankful for. We got a brand new kitchen table and it's gorgeous. Our family loves turkey and it was so delicious. We had a great meal and lots of family time. Tyler even made an eggnog pie! Taralee is a great pie maker too. Looks like Kalli is going to be a great helper coming right up. We will never be at a loss for pies. It was great weather so a game of ball was played after dinner in the backyard. And look at the little ones enjoying a popsicle in November. LOL

Classy sketches can be yours...

Wow where does all the time go? I would love to be scrapping every day and what better way to scrap than with a sketch from Tiare at Classy Coordinates. Check out her fabulous sketches and let me know if you love them as much as I do!!

Happy Thanksgiving Mom!

After work today I bought some flowers to take to my moms grave. I added them to some carnations that were already there. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm for November. I know I am a goof. Here is a pic of the event. :) I reflected on all the things I am thankful for that my mother taught me. She was a tremendously wonderful mom. I thanked her for all that she did for me. She had so much love for our family. I was walking across the lawn as I left a song about love came into my mind. It was a perfect moment for me as I thought about so many neat memories.

I can't believe the incredible weather we have been having. We took the grandkids for a ride to the cabin last Saturday. We were just there long enough for lunch and a little fun!
Kalli wanted Grandpa to swing her forever.

Oh man where does the time go? I can't believe I haven't posted anything in a month. Fall is slipping away from us. And winter is at our doorstep. On Nov. 5th we had another snowstorm. Here is a photo of Mount Olympus from the parking lot at my work. Isn't it pretty?

And look at our house covered in a blanket of white.

I have finished quite a bit of Christmas shopping. I even have a lot of things wrapped. Can never be too prepared. LOL Actually it is the best way to hide them from the grandkids. It should be a fun Christmas this year. Brennan and Kalli are old enough to understand it all.

my newest layout

Just thought I would share the layouts I am doing in a journaling challenge. The first one was "things I will miss" I picked this photo of my mom and journaled on the side all those little things you don't think about, like "oh I should call mom"

This one was "your daily frustrations." Never enough time in a day to get everything you want to done seems to crawl into my life, sometimes at a faster pace than I would like. We live in such a hurry up and get that done world. I found this photo of my Grandma and had to add it to the page. Remeber the days when women didn't work and life was a bowl of cherries? LOL I love how this came together.

It's Pumpkin Time

Wow I can't believe I haven't posted yet this month. Today was our Pumpkin Patch Party at Grandpa Carrolls. We had a very good garden down there this year. We had chili and breadsticks with little fruit pizza's. Then the kids drew faces on their pumpkins.

Here is our group photo with grandpa

And here is Kalli since she wouldn't show us her pumpkin in the group photo. LOL

Time to check in

It has been such a whirlwind month, I just haven't had time to get anything posted here. My FIL had a total knee replacement four weeks ago. He will be 86 in a couple of weeks. This week the paramedics have taken him to the hospital twice. The first time he ended up with phnemonia and now he has a blood clot in his leg. He is doing fairly well. Coming home from the hospital tomorrow. My MIL is exhausted. She is 84 and it is wearing her out. She waits on him hand and foot. They are such troopers. They can't get along without each other. We have taken them meals and been there for them to help with their daily needs and such. It is just a wild ride right now.

Kalli turns three

We took Kalli to a Tea Party lunch for her birthday. Her hot chocolate kept her entertained the whole meal. We also went shopping to buy her an outfit. Then her mommy decided she could get her ears pierced. It was all fine and dandy until the pinch. I promised her ice cream so afterwards she was happy again.

Organizing

Whew! it has been quite a day of cleaning in my scrap room. My ultimate goal is to have a very clean and organized room. I will be so glad to have a space that is not cluttered. I have been in here all day and only have the cards organized and my computer desk cleaned off. LOL I did take time to do a challenge layout. Couldn't have a day without scrapping. :) The desk looks great too! More to conquer...

A new beginning

I have avoided this for so long, but here I sit ready to jump in and take the plunge. What an experience I hope this will be to share my love for scrapping and spending time with my family. I take enough pictures so I will never find myself "finished". LOL
