Carrie

My dear sweet Sister-in-law was diagnosed with AML4 on Dec. 18, 2009, just one week before Christmas. She spent 5 1/2 months in the hospital doing everything she could do to live. She had such a strong fighting spirit and endured much pain without complaint. She passed away on May 16, 2010. She was amazing. How grateful I am to have had her in my life. How grateful I am for the moments that we were able to visit. She was such a sweet loving person and example to me. I have been lucky enough to spend time with her children every Friday. I call myself Mary Poppins as I tend to their needs and help out the best that I can, cooking, cleaning and doting on her little ones.

Oh my gosh!

I haven't been here in forever. Why oh why can life get in the way of all our fun here? :) I need to get a move on and post some more pics. My scraproom in our new home is not built yet so I work off of a little counter in the washroom. Makes for some interesting times. Can't wait to get up to the cabin again and crank out some layouts. Tom is desparately trying to get my room finished. It is going to be fabulous! Hopefully our home will close this week and things will get better. Keep on keeping on!!

Just a couple of layouts

I did for Technique Tuesday on my Classy Scrapper board. One is done with several pattern papers and the other one uses up stickers in my collection. LOL

Finally got a chance to scrap again

Here is a layout for The Cookin'Up Creations challenge to use brads.

I used Alphabet brads to speel Tyler's name on the photo. Bo Bunny brads are on the ends of the paper strip and Recollection brads are on each of the journaling strips.

Christmas layout

Every year I make a layout for my siblings for Christmas. This year I used the last picture taken with my Mom and a favorite one my Dad liked taken in the 60's. He says Mom was wearing a blue knit dress in this black and white photo. It was his favorite. He loved seeing her in it. The flower is made using a square and rounding two of the corners, then placing four of them next to each other. I love this new found technique.
